Good idea iv got a mate with black sand it looks awesome, really brings the fishes colour out well

Pure black? Tahitian Moon Sand is black i believe.

I have Unipac Limpopo which is a mix of black and grey.

where would i be able to get any of them from? and i just want something tha would make the fish stand out beter, as i took your advise about puting up a black backround and it has made it look 10times beter already, thanks

Are you in the UK? Do a search online. If you have a look at my journal you will see what the Limpopo looks like.

I got the 25kg bag and paid about £30 i think. Just check my pictures though to make sure it is the colour you want as that picture on that website does make it look darker than what it is in real life.

This is the black sand by Caribsea. It is JET BLACK.

spot on!!! corys need sand to avoid damage to their barbels. they love to dig in the sand and filter it through their gills....cool!!! remember to keep corys in groups (as large as possible) of the same species. they are sociable shoaling fish...and highly entertaining!!!!
