Betta Success With Guppies?

So can I keep fancy guppies with my Betta or no

That depends on the individual fish.

If I were you, I would have put the Betta in a fish bowl then left the Guppies alone. This is because the Betta will show aggression at times to other fish, and potentially eat the Fancy Guppies' fry.

That's a bit cruel towards the Betta! Also, you might not have noticed, but guppies will eat their own fry just as happily and Bettas are just as likely to leave the fry alone as well fed guppies are.

I think I will just go with endlers

There won't be much difference between the average guppy and the average endler, when it comes to keeping them with a Betta. Both are pretty much equally likely to bother the Betta.

Ok my tank right now Is all male, including the betta, at first I thought my betta would be bother by the guppies and flare at them and be the boss, but the guppies aren't even scared of him in fact my betta looks like it is avoiding my mollies and guppies by hiding behind my plants and my house decorations. Is it normal for my betta to not flare at guppies? I thought that bettas hate guppies because they look like other male bettas. My bettas is probably is still a baby so his age affect on his behavior?

In my personal experience, it is more likely for the guppies to bother a Betta than for the Betta to bother guppies.

Yes, the age of the fish does affect behaviour, but it can affect behaviour in either direction (some become more aggressive with age, others mellow out).

I have a 20 gallon tank. And I have been checking the betta, the tank is now even more peaceful now, the betta seems like he is more outgoing and mollies does not seem to disturb betta as much as yesterday, they swim past each other with no flaring, snapping, biting....... My male betta still hides but less, guppies and mollies still play with together very peacefully.

That's good news! Hopefully your betta starts to feel safer and not hide as much.

It hangs out in the sides of the aquarium and sometimes in my house decorations, looks like my mollies and guppies are trying their best not to disturb him. I must have gotten a very calm betta

Yes, all bettas have very different personalities. I have a veiltail that is very chillax, and never flares. He chills and makes his bubble nests and greets me. I have a halfmoon that is kinda in between. He flares occasionally but for the most part chills, then I have a crowntail that is very aggressive and flares at everything from himself to my cat! Yes, my cat looked in the tank and the crowntail got into defense stance at my cat. It was so funny. The veiltail and the halfmoon i was able to keep temporarily in a community tank (they were moved on account of my other fish harassing them) but I wouldn't dare ever put the crowntail with other fish. As stated by others, it really does depend on the fish. That is good that your fish are getting along. You may just be one of the group of people with success in keeping bettas in communities.

Yeah I agree with the statement about how all bettas are different. They really do have different personalities.

My neighbor is moving so he is giving me his fishes, although Im suppose to let my tank be for 3 to 4 weeks as the manual says however if I dont accept the fishes, he will flush or release or do SOMETHING to it so will the new fishes affect the betta or my other fishes or the tank?

Standing the tank for 3-4 weeks does not do anything at all, it makes no difference compared to standing it for a day.

It depends on the species of the new fish, the numbers and your current set-up.
