im planning to get a betta in a 2.5 planted tank but im keeping it in my room with AC, i turn my AC on sometime when its hot, im planning to get a heater but still... how the heck can i avoid temperature fluctuations in an AC room even with heater?

The heater (Depending on what brand) has a thermometer in it that heated the temperature of the water to whatever you set it at. So if the AC kicks on, the heater will compensate for that.

You should also get a bigger tank. It'll stay more consistent if it's 5 or 10 gallons, not to mention the water parameters will be much more reliable the bigger the tank.
