Betta Girls, They Can Be As Stunning As The Boys

Well sorry all of you, I was hoping my 11 y/o nephew was going to be in the mood to wash gravel with me today for my Juwel Vision
Project.  Instead however he saw my tripod near the main tank in the bedroom and took some lovely shots of the Betta Girls that I thought I would share with you all.
 
Keep the popcorn coming, the project will take a step forward hopefully soon, as I am starting to get over having been 

for the past week 

   In the meantime, hope you enjoy the pictures.

Her fins are actually red, but does not show up in these pictures of her.  I will try and find another shot of her and add it sometime.


Another girl is the Marble Crowntail, she is a sweet little thing, and is a different colour every time you look at her.  Here is her picture, I took awhile back, to add into the mix. 
 
I will see if I can add her to the poll too [EDIT : no I can't, so if she is your favourite you will have to say so instead, although please vote too as I am interested in which is the best for my nephew - thanks].

Got to say I think I like the copper best too.

He is amazingly talented.  I think he would be awesome in animation, his drawings have already gone to a publisher for review apparently!
In some ways I forgive him for not washing gravel, equally though I will put the camera/tripod away next time
Interesting the Copper is the favourite, I must find that other image of her.

I think the marble may have just eaten, interestingly though, all of the CT's tend to get rounded stomachs when they eat.  I think they are either "pigs" or it is in their breeding somewhere?

She is indeed a stunner, and stands out in the aquarium, yet the other one I got at the same time, which you can see at the bottom of this image 7.B.E. Butterfly Violet Plakats, is a lovely metallic Violet, but I have yet to get the camera to pick this up on her properly.  She is the one top left, in a circle, in my signature.  She has a Violet head and then has this beautiful stunning sheen to her.  They are hopefully, if I can get my act together, to be paired with the BE Male Violet Plakat you can see towards the bottom right of my signature picture.  Lots to do before hand though!

Yes, the one you see my great-nephew starring at in my signature.  It was the first time I had attempted it, not without its challenges and sadly its losses as previously advised.  It has loads of wood and hiding places and the girls all seem to have claimed their own logs.  Interestingly, I have recently noted that they seem to have had a swap around   They are great and welcome me each time I enter the room, although I am sure it is only "cupboard love".
