Betta For New Tank

maybe when i get my 3rd tank

hey agen everyone
while i been away i've been busy
mooved my peppered cory from a smaller tank into the new tank,
Bought some red baloon Platy's,
And got my beta, saw him in a local shop and the mrs fell in love with him so we got him
here's a little pic of him

not the best photo i know, i'll be looking for a third tank soon i think so i can get some females lol

Does your new man have a name yet??

he hasnt yet, haven't named any of my fish before now lol. i wouldnt know what to call him lol
any suggestions?

Name him based on his personality

(not that any of mine are named this way)

wish i could have more tanks
but doesn't look like i'll be able to have any more for a while
my wife and i are mooving in to a new place in a few weeks so my budget for the fish will pretty much be nothing except food for them.
for a few months anyway.

hope he likes it, are there any plants/ items i can put in the tank that bettas like?
got some bad news aswell, one of my gourami died today, one female was like a balloon and couldnt swim away from the surface.
my male doesn't seem too good, he's very lethargic campaired to how he's been for the las few months.
Done a 50% water change and plan to do so for the next few days.
i'm worried about this as i dont have a spair tank now that i could use to isolate him.
lets hope he improoves anyway.
this may also seem like a silly question but as i'm new, can anyone tell me what kind of betta i have bought please? lol

hes just like the ones i've always seen in any of the local pet shops.
never seen a crowntail, halfmoon or a double tail in any shop around where i live. I been to most of the maidenhead aquatics in south wales and not seen one bar the same one as my little guy.

Same as me in the north east of England, all the bettas are always VT's
