Hi I have a betta that I bought a couple of weeks ago that I think has fin rot affecting only his tail. I did a complete water change, got him so plants to hide in (to reduce his stress), and started treating him 3 days ago with Bettafix. I think that it is getting worse. He lives in a 4 gallon tank alone. It has a filter, the temperature is 75 degrees F, all fake plants and gravel. I suppose the other option would be that it is catching in the filter but it is not very powerful at all.

I am thinking about trying a salt bath for him. Would this be recommeded and if so how should I do it. Should I continue to use the Bettafix?

He is still lively and eating well. The picture where you cannot see plants was him from last week and his tail looked normal.

Thanks for your advice!
