Zoe I have spoke to 8 other people who all have had same problem!
The person will be named unless he sorts this out which at moment he has no intension to!
I have more then enough ppl will to post pics aswell as infomation about him!
I have pics of the postage, box, water tests!!! So don't start Zoe

She's not starting anything, its just her own experience with the breeder. It could've been an accident or something happened during the time it was being shipped. You can't blame the breeder for every mistake made. He could've been doing everything right so maybe it took longer than expected to arrive to you so your male started to fade away. Just my 2 cents :/

Thank you Wisperian, I wasnt starting anything, if you want a fight I will give you one, I was giving my experience with said breeder!

You dont put too much water in when shipping. Ideally a heat pack would have been better, but mine were fine and it as a lot colder at the time. The post over xmas has started to get busy, usually first class comes the next day, so her perhaps didnt realise, even special delivery can get messed up and royal mail throw the boxes around they dont care even if they are marked with take care.

The stress of shipping itself can kill a fish, that is not anyones fault. I think you are being a bit over dramatic to be honest. If you have a problem with someone take it up with them dont post it all over the internet, a it can get you into trouble and b its not fair on the other person as we only have your side of the arguement.

I'm not looking for a fight and I wouldn't fight with you, It's a forum not the place to fight,
I have many people that have had problems with this breeder and I want him to fix his ways!!

I just want this poor guy to get better

I dont think that the person has done a huge amount wrong.

The fish had an 11 degree heat rise in a very short period, as said on the other forum. I think he will be ok, but the stress of shipping is always a factor. One of my girls mysteriously died a few weeks after I got them and was offered a replacement by the person in question.

I hope he gets better soon, poorly fish are always upsetting, we have a few poorly ones at the moment, seems there is another emergency every day at the mo d'oh!

Sorry if I was harsh, but you peed me off saying I was starting

I have many ppl who refuse to buy from him now and proof that it was ill b4 sending
he has infection on each side of his body thats whats causing his problems.
Got antibiotics now and hopefully he will be back to full health soon

That looks like a bacterial infection.
What are you doing to treat him?

Ew...that looks really scary. Maybe add some salt and Pimafix? I know that's like really simple advice but sometimes people forget the simplest of things.

Aloe Vera helps with everything i'm telling you! When I get break outs I just put a little on from my aloe plant and it clear it right up!

Erm. If he has anything to scratch himself against like plastic plants and such maybe you should take it out to keep the infection from spreading

Awww poor little fishie!!! :-( I do hope he gets better. I found this site below that offers some suggestions:

It appears maybe you might need something stronger then melafix/pemafix. I think what we might be seeing is an open sore or like someone said before, bacterial infection.

I haven't tried this myself but you may want to look into getting Tetracycline...

Good Luck!!! :good:
