Best Substrate For Cichlids Sa/ca

This is what I'm thinking about buying. http://www.warehouse-aquatics.co.uk/aquatics/gravel-substrates-and-rock/fine-black-aquarium-gravel-25kg.html

Looks good... Just be wary that it might not be solid black though Mr Spoon. I have something that looks similar in my Shrimp tank and it is a dark grey rather than deep black like the Unipac.

Look forward to the pics Snake

Thanks for the heads up. I just clicked on the addition info and it is unipac.

Does the tetratec ex1200 suck up sand or small gravel?
Also can cichlids move the gravel like they would with sand.

A decent sized cichlid can shift alot more than gravel. Something upto 6" would be fine, but if they are any part of the Geophagus family (including Rams) then sand is better as they pass it through their gills in a similar way to what Corydoras do as they are earth eaters.

The TT won't bother the substrate.

Alright, ive always liked the look of Geophagus cichlids, never seen any in stock at my lfs though, they had a similar looking one called a demon fish for 2.50 about 3 inches, are they the same?

 I always thought they stayed around the 5-6 inch mark
