Hi all

IMAG0245.jpg

Well, I've finally got the nano project started, I've got some nice rooty wood on its final soak, decent plant substrate, and all the CO2 gubbins (except for the fire extinguisher, thats next).

The background is a fixed in place Juwel off cut, and the external filter intake/splray bar ar part of it.

I'm still considering where to put the CO2 bits.

The lid unfortunately broke :( and I've ordered some replacement acrylic (a bit safer).

The light is weaker than I thought it would be, and I may replace it with something brighter.

Cheers, More soon!

Is this one of the nano's from P@H? I was looking at these the other day, £29 a steal i reckon! Also is the ex filter from APS? I was looking at these too. lol.

I would love to have one as a shrimp tank. :)

What is the filter like that comes with it? Would it be good enough?

It comes with a nice little internal power filter with spray bar, nothing wrong with it, just very small capacity.

If you picked one up, a cheap Eheim Liverty would (HOB) filter would be great with this tank!

Thanks. :) Might invest in one sometime. But i have 5 already...

Looking great, I am very tempted to setup a little nano tank. The P@H ones look like a STEAL! Looked at them a few times. What are your plans for it? :)

If i were to set one up. I think id spend more time aquascaping than at work :p Id want it too be the pinicle of my tanks.

Plans are, to add moss to the wood, and get everything growing well, then introduce some cherry shrimp and micro crabs after a month or two :D

Ohhhh crabs? Sounds awesome :D wont they need land though as-well? (Could get slated here for being abit thick) Im wanting to setup a little shrimp tank. With maybe a beta, But probably just shrimp, Will be awesome when i get round too it.

:p Grrr im jealous now :p

Hah! yeah normally quite correct, however these:

Micro Crabs

Don't need land, stay tiny too!

I think you should definately do your own!

So far, its been fun!

Woahhh these guys look awesome, Never even heard of them before  Thanks for the info. May actually look into getting a nano for these little critters. Would love some freshwater crabs. as not clued up on the salty side of life. Going too do some re-search on them now hehe

:good:

aaahhh i see, splash! That spraybar needs to be about 2cm's under the water. Plants do much better with just a ripple rather than breaks in the surface.

ps, it'll look great when grown in!
