Well if that pic as your avatar is one of yours that you truly do have colorful fish, lol!
I wish it was one of my fish..lol.

Although, one of my Cichlids looks like that...however I have yet to get a good picture of her.

to be honest, i like doresys idea, although i havnt tried it, it would be nice to cover just a little in order to create a cave effect- but my tanks at the end of my bed so i wont be looking at the sides
Some of the most intriguing tanks I've ever seen were designed as follows: They were not rectangular, but trapezoid (of sorts) in shape, with the two side walls spreading outward at obtuse angles from the front glass pane. The front glass was the only thing exposed, placed in a solid building wall so it felt like you were looking at a window or picture. The obtuse angles were wide enough that no matter how hard an angle you looked, you could not see them, only water. The back wall was solid rocks and not at an angle parallel with the front pane of glass. Sometimes the back wall had another angle in it but the rocks broke it up and made it not a clean line.

So the effect was that you were looking in from an underwater window on a stream or something and had a sense of the far bank straight ahead but it was obscured by plants and wood and rocks quite a bit. It was one of the most natural looks I've ever seen and grabbed your attention in a powerful way.
