Hi I am currently looking for a new background for my arc 20 tank I have linked an image below, question is with the colour of my fish and my plants I don't know what to go for :S I did think black but then realised my fish would hardly stand out. What do you guys/gals think ?

Any help welcome :)

You could try a bluey green. Just print that color and put it up to the back of the aquarium and see if you like it.

I have only ever used the type of background picture that you already have, but I know generally many pet shops paint the back of their tanks a nice mid range blue and it seems to work well with most fish.
Another option is no paint or pictures on the back, instead get some of an artificial rock wall that sticks to the glass on the inside of the tank. The type of rock wall I have has all sorts of nooks and crannies that many of my fish like to rest on. You could also use the wall as an anchor point for plants like Java fern( needle leaf would look great), mini Anubis and even various mosses.
