 I have a pond this year and have transported fish which came with previous house. The "moat" around the pond got water in it (intend to fill with plants) and I used it when taking blanket weed out. Now have several baby fish from 2 inches to half inch. How big must they be before I can put them back in the pond? Adult fish are: 3 goldfish (8"?), 5 comets about same size, 2 blue orfe (6"?), 3 shubunkins (5/6"?) and two black/goldish hybrids 3" and 2 large sturgeon

Don't know what area you are in, but in SE USA, we leave the goldfish fry in the pond year round. And we never lack for babies! Sometimes it gets overstocked!

Can't tell you about the others though.

OH yeah, we also added plecos and they seem to be happy, too.

depending on the size of the sturgeon
they will eat them if they can catch them
but its not very easy for sturgeon to catch live fish -_-

We started with 7 Shubunkins and now have well over 20 or more. We just left the fry in the pond. They found plenty of places to hide from the other fish I guess since they are all growing nice and big!
