Attaching Java Fern/anubias

The lower portion of my annubia happens to be behind a forest of java ferns. Sometimes I do shove a little of the rock down into the gravel but then there are times like the last couple of days when I was so lax that I left it turned over on its side after a tank clean and then haven't bothered to stick my arm in and turn it upright - every time I see it I laugh and think the side leaves are enjoying getting the full light for a change

For example, I have an Anubia Nana that is simply tied to a medium sized round rock with a "twist-em" from the kitchen (plasic covered, not paper twist-em and sometimes I laugh and think the slightly rusting little wire might actually give my plants some iron nutrient!)
~~waterdrop~~

isn't rust toxic to fish?

cheers :good:

No, It's only Iron oxide, it occurs in rocks and all-sorts.

A certain amount of iron is needed in the tank for plant health but I doubt the wire from a twist tie rusting is what is intended. I use fishing line to tie a rhizome to an object, often it is a bit of driftwood that holds my plants.

I'm using objects to wedge them in place and so far so good.

Here's a rhizome
