I like both. :p

im confused now. i know someone who saw a pet shop worker in the u.k feeding a live fish to another fish and then i was told by someone who works in a pet store that they can feed live fish to other fish as long as its out of sight to the public, and that its only illegal if the public actually see the feeding of them. i dont know what type of fish it was though being fed, could have been a predatory one.

is there somewhere where its written on the rules about feeding live fish to others in the u.k cause i'd like to read it.

True, I mean I'm sure there are plenty of people that buy fish and then take them home and tell their predator fish "OPEN WIDE" I mean who's gonna stop them

Actually feeding live food to a snake is a bad idea, and they do accept pre killed meat.
Feeding live animals, be it a rabbit or a tiny mouse, is very dangerous if you just drop it in your snake's enclosure. The prey doesn't have a death wish, and will fight the snake tooth and claw.
I have seen a boa shredded to pieces by a mouse. Its condition was so critical that they had to put the snake down.
The approprite way to feed captive snakes is to start them on a pre killed diet when they are babies. You can buy dozens of frozen baby mice for cheap, and then gradually work up to adult mice as the snake matures. Plus, frozen pre killed food doesn't carry disease like live food would.

As for the feeder fish, some fish do require live food. However, unlike a mouse, feeder fish don't have sharp teeth and claws, so the hunter is in no danger from them.

No matter what you're feeding live prey to, always keep a close eye on them! NEVER drop the prey in and just walk away - anything can happen.

its legal down in Aus,

you can get about a dozen feeder guppys for $2. but personaly i wouldnt do that as they carry loads of parasites and diseases. only predetory fish are immune to diseases so they could probably have them
