Ok..so its become pretty clear to me now that no matter how hard you look you just cant find the amazing betta's that most people outside of the UK seem to have..so i decided to turn to looking on aquabid..what i want to know is has anyone from the UK ever used it? i dont mind pay $20+ for a betta...but some of the shipping charges seem..umm? yea...abit to much IMO..maybe its just the ones im looking at tho. any info would be appreciated.

I am not in the UK so I can't help you there. But I thought I read a post saying it's illegal to import fish into the UK. I'll see if I can find it . . .

The shipping charges do seem a bit much. There are some beautiful fish out there that I don't mind paying for. But often the shipping costs more than the fish!

Sorrell has purchased fish from Aquabid. She might be a good person to ask for advice

I've bought snails off aquabid, but not fish. The snails were just shipped priority so that really cut down on the shipping charge.
