Ok so i noticed some bright red eggs at the top of my tank out of the water, googled in and assumed they were apple snail eggs. I have had creamy white eggs before but never bright red ones.
Was looking at the eggs today and noticed around it, out of the water, i noticed was loads of tiny red dots, moving!! Seemed to be moving quickly (quicker than i thought a baby apple snail would), cant find a maginfying glass to look closer.

Baby apple snails? Or something i dont want in my tank?

Thanks!!!

I've moved this topic from the species index section, which is for informational posts rather than questions.

Egg color varies by apple snail species, and sometimes varies over time in intensity within an indivdual female (within an obvious color gradient anyway, like light orange to bright orange but not something like pastel pink to orange). Young Pomacea insularum can appear distinctly reddish right after hatching and then become brown as they grow.
