Anyine Know What These Are?

When I first saw these critters I thought they might have been seed shrimp but now I am not so sure. They move slowly across the glass, but seem to get around quick enough at other times because if you leave and come back they will be in all different places. I can't say I have seen them move across the sand in the tank, but lets face it the sand is white and these things are sort of white and tiny. I have also seen them on some of my plants. The fish don't seem interested in them and my crystal reds and cherry shrimp don't seem phased by them either.

The best pictures I could get of them, they are tiny the largest one I have seen would only be around 2-3mm

The only snails that I know of in my tanks are Malaysian trumpet snails and ramhorn snails, these guys are very flat and sort of suction themselves onto the glass more like limpets.

Have you added any new plants recently? I have these in my Shrimp tank... I just squish em on the glass and let the shrimp do the rest.

just out of curiosity snake... what possible fish are you thinking of for your 900 gallon?

and they dont look like the snail eggs i have seen in my tanks so i dont think that they are snail eggs, but i am not 100 percent sure

Im not quite sure Im starting to think along the lines of catfish, Red tail catfish, Big Plecos, Pacus, Arowanas, Big Cichlids, Gars.
That sort of fish.

I will rule out snail eggs as snail eggs don't generally wonder off all over the place (unless somebody had mutant snails ) they are unlike any snail eggs I have encountered in the past (and that is quite a lot) so I am inclined to go with ostercods.

lol they are freshwater limpets, mutant snail is close enough though I guess. Most snails are thought to of evolved from limpet like organisms.

Well what ever they are they have done a fantastic job of cleaning my glass even better than the shrimp and Borneo Suckers .
