Yup, I'm not a bodybuilder per say but I'm more of an avid ...workout-er. Lol...

I workout mainly for rugby and wrestling if we have it next year but I'm pretty serious about it. I need to find out my new squat and deadlift max next week, but my max bench is 245 and I weigh 188 (5'10")

Hahah, thats me in a nutshell.

i used to train 5 hours a day four times a week

5 hours? Man thats really bad, should only do two hours max, otherwise the body starts going catabolic.

Rugbys a good game, i like it but i gave up from the injuries LOL

My stats are

6'0"
185lbs
7% bodyfat
Benchmax-210lbs
Deadlift max-415lbs
Squat max-275lbs

Heres my hotornot pic from 2 months ago when i was 175lbs at 10% bodyfat, ive lost a lotta fat recently and gained 10lbs overall, making a 15-17lbs lean muscle gain

Yeah. That Arnold Schwarzenegger will never end up any good in bodybuilding with his training regime of up to 6 hours a day in the gym

Are you joking?

seriously?

Dudes...i thought everyone knew arnold schwarzenegger was on steroids, steroids allow people to workout that long and not go catabolic

Just looking at the impressive physique of a gentleman like Ronnie Coleman and it may seem like common sense to follow his workout routine. If you goal is to become huge and ripped why not right? WRONG!!! Number one, all professional bodybuilders are on a lot of drugs, let us not pretend otherwise. Yes, other sports also are guilty of using drugs to enhance performance, but possibly no other sport is so dependent on the use of drugs than bodybuilding. Drugs allow you to train more often because of one's increased ability to recover, but they also speed up normal physiological processes that normally would not occur, i.e. increased hormonal levels. Not only do bodybuilders take an ENORMOUS amount of drugs; they are also known to inject various substances into their bodies to give selected body parts and enhanced look. I personally do not have a problem with the use of drugs to improve one's quality of life, but I do not approve of the abuse of drugs.

And that isnt just this website.

Look in tonnes of bodybuilding forums, the whole "follow the pros" was outdated in the 80's, funnily enough when you trained.

Osteoarthiritis

Caused by wearing of cartilidge.

No doubt by excessive heavy weightlifting Biff.

Sorry guys, but its common knowledge all mammals go catabolic after 2-3 hours after a standard food consumption

At university right now were doing hormone levels and steroids naturally made in the body in conjunction with sports scientists, working out longer than 2 hours is backward, you end up damaging yourself by not giving yourself enough time to recover.

Never do pro workouts unless youre on roids and the body can maintain an anabolic state

Forum with everyone stating they workout no longer than an hour.

99% of the natural knowledgable bodybuilding community dont train longer than an hour, these facts were established years ago.

Sorry if you were stating jokes and knew working out for that long was backward and dangerous, i dont get humour online much, difficult to tell :good:

no i didn't mean it that way i enjoyed the training and all that but also 30 years as a fitter as also took
its toll kneeling on floors working in bad conditions as all had something to do with it in one way i miss the pumping iron
bit and the burn i had a bad do in 2006 which left me with reduced lung capacity which means i get out of breath quick

I train alot, not quite as hardcore as Mr up here /\ /\ but enough to keep me in good shape :) constantly striving to be bigger.

Olman or Coleman? Yes, Ronnie Coleman would be scary, though im pretty sure my nan could out run him in a mobility scooter.
