I've got a 120 litre aquarium (80x43x55) and I was wondering how many I can keep in this tank?

I am also thinking to have 5-6 black phantom tetras, a betta, maybe a black ghost knife fish, maybe a fire eel if this is okay and maybe a few other small fish such as a glass cat fish.

Not sure how many small fish I can keep.

Are these compatible?

If they are compatible, an answer saying how many angel fish that would fit with these fish would be great.

Thanks in advance.

you would need at least a 6 foot tank for a fire eel and ghost knife fish i think as they get large. big no no there

Hi..i too have a 120L tank and was advised against the Angel Fish.Although length and width of the tank are very important, the most important issue for them is height, as they CAN grow to 15 inches plus!
From what i gather, Black Phantom Tetra can become a little nippy, so maybe not a good idea with your Betta. I am unsure of the rest of the fish you listed (although the fire eel doesn't sound very suitable), but i'm sure the more experienced amongst us can help you with those.
A full stocking of my tank (and picture) can be found in my signature, which i wanted to be a peaceful, community tank
Hope this helps.

Terry.

Okay I will not buy these fish. Thank you for helping me out! :)

A small school of Neon Tetra would look ace (maybe 15 or so)..but due to their constant inter breeding their DNA is not as strong as alot of fish enthusiasts would like..hence the reason i went for their bigger "cousins", Cardinal Tetra...and although it is not really advised to add these to a new tank, mine have flourished and done really well.

Ok, using the calculator your tank comes out to just under 190 lts using your measurements. To small for the ghost and eel. I find black phantoms to be less nippy than some of their relatives, especially in a larger group, say 8-10. A pair of angels would be ok in your tank. And if you get glass cats be sure to get 6 or more they really need their own kind to do well.

My fish tank is not new because i'm restocking. :) It's been running 3-4 months now. :)

My apologies. I just measured my tank instead of using a website info about my tank and it measures L80xW40xH43cm. Which is 138l but everyone says its 120l.

And thanks for the info but guessing angels are out of the question now.
