could I suggest a tangykian shelldweller tank very intresting fish and could go in a species ten
That's what I'm planning for my 10 gallon. I haven't kept Cichlids yet but shellies are something that would go nicely in a 10g.

Its a type of dwarf cichlid. They are known as shell dwellers because in the wild they inhabit the empty shells of large snails. This is where they raise their young as well as being protection from predators.

I love snakes, but I don't have the money for one right now.

Anywho, I think I am going to go with 2 guppies and 4 zebra danios. What do you guys think?

EDIT: Whoops. brain typo again, not danios, i meant to say tetras

How about an amphibian tank. I have two newts in a 5 gallon (buying ten this week, didn't realize it was a 5 till today.) Then you could put in a few mosquito fish or maybe guppies. Add a few snails, some plants, and some ghost shrimp and you have a very nice looking little tank.

Edit: might not even need a heater.

LOL sorry about that slip up, i was just talking about zebra danios to someone and ended up typing it out...

I think I'm going to keep researching until i find my perfect tank, until then your comments are much apreciated.

Yeah, mosquitofish, besides the unflattering name, are really great: hardy, easy to breed, and kinda pretty if they're in a good light. I'm getting a pair of males for my 2.5 gallon today...

Ok, i composed a list of suggestions that people on this forum have suggested, that no one objected to on another thread, can I get your opinions on these options? Some seem kinda overstock-y to me.

EDIT: wow im making a lot of typos, suggestions people suggested? kinda redundant.

Option 1:
2 guppies, 4 neon/rummy nose/cardinal tetras

Option 2:
5 or 6 neon/cardinal/rummy nose tetras
4 cories

Option 3:
3 guppies, 3 platys, 6 tetra (possibly squeeze in small group of bottom dwellers, like loach or catfish)

:-( :byebye:

no one objected to the amphibian tank. yet.

:D just kidding I know he was going in a more fishy direction.

The amphibian tank is a good idea, but you are right, I was going in a more fishy direction. But it was a good idea, maybe my next tank :p
