All My Fish Are At The Top Of My Tank

Hi,

I have a varied selection of top/bottom feeders, but occasionally (like just now) they all (barring maybe 1 or 2 tetras) tend to hover around the top of the tank.

Is there any significance i can place on this?

your tank is lacking oxygen, you need to 1 of two things.
1. airstone
2. if you have a pump that shoots water out. aim the head to breach the water. this will cause oxygen to get into the water.

sounds like a lack of oxygen all right. you need to agitate the surface water with an airstone or pump

Thanks guys, I've bought an airstone & pump from ebay, so hopefully i'll get it within the next few days

at higher temps, water can`t hold as much Oxygen, water exchanges oxygen at the surface so the more you can get the surface moving the more oxygen the water can absorb

Or there may be something wrong with the fish, check the FAQ sections for more info on symptoms and cures...
