Algae Wafers

Hi guys. I give my fish 1 alage wafer every other day mostly for my corys and pleco. My other fish love them too. So when I put them in I leave them in there because all the fish in the tank eat it. Is it safe to leave it in there? It takes them roughly half hour to 45 mins to eat it but they do eat it all.

Should I keep leaving it in there or take it out after a certain time?

i give my pleco algae wafers. i also have Siamese algae eaters in my tank. i leave my fish too it. my pleco can sometimes ignores my wafers for unto a hour. and then he will suddenly decide he's hungry and chase all the other fish away from it.

i never find any left the following day and i also do a gravel clean every week, with my water change. so if there is any food its cleaned away. hope this helps. i am sure someone else will come along and say take it out. lol.

Lol its always gone in my tank too but it takes up to an hour lol thanks for the reply mate

Try feeding at night when the lights are off, it will give the bottom feeders more of a chance on it.

I give my fish algae wafers sometimes, everyone in the tank loves it and crowds around it all the time. I don't know how long it takes them, but sooner or later it is gone and the ADFs are still blindly searching for it.

I would give your fish them, especially if you have bottom feeders, they love it also. ^_^

I would leave it in there, even if they don't eat all of it at the start they can have a snack after-wards.

I give my plec algae wafers, hes around the 9inch mark, I put about 6 in there at night, in the morning there all gone, hes never left them.
If the wafers were not eaten overnight, I would remove it.

I drop 7-10 small wafers for my cories and BN every other day. All the fish partake though. I have no seen adverse reactions. In fact, I have been trying to get a picture of my female betta, who will catch a wafer as it floats to the bottom and carry it around the tank....
