Wiggles :yahoo: Hows tricks?
Thought you could sneak that post in unnoticed eh?
No chance....
Umm... hijack!

ola

i'm good hun, loving my new job, just got my first pay packet today, same as i got in my old job, except for 3 weeks not 4, therefore 25% payrise. woop there it is 8) lol

bummer is i can't use forums, chat rooms, social networking sites, on-line e-mails or anything even on my lunch breaks so no daytime chatting for me anymore. tis ok though i'm enjoying having some good challenges at work.

people are cool, working in IT is very different to business support though, full of lads and while they're all really nice most of the conversations are about computers or cars which goes way over my head. they're having a good time laughing at how little i know about pc's though so we're all getting along fine.

hows tricks with you?

Umm... well rubbish at cycling topics.
Wilder isn't on as much so the emergency area needs help and therefore obviously still unemployed...
GF is big, in serious pain now baby is due in next 2-4 weeks....
I think i may buy her a human sized cork and hope for the best!
She saw that, i'm in trouble....
Good to hear from you, IMHO you are severely missed and (possibly) needed on this forum.
:dunno:
Ps; get the lads at work hooked on fishies, job done.

awww bless ya, very sweet of you to say.

cycling topics are easy... if there's ammonia or nitrite the tank is cycling 9 times out of 10, if there's fish in, 20% water changes every day until both hit 0. that is literally all the advice you need to give in virtually every case.

oh wow, you must be nervous and excited! we visited my parents this weekend and my dad's been dropping not so subtle hints about wanting grandkids.... not just yet thankyou very much dad!!

make sure you post up pics when the little one arrives and let us know how your GF is. got my fingers crossed that everything goes well.

i'm doing my best not to let on how much of a nut case i am, don't think telling them all about the fish will help the situation just yet!!

36 (soon to be 37 OMG!!!!!!!!!!!) just started out in this fishy world - still cycling my first ever tank

Cheers Wiggle...
I know but i can't help mentioning Prime which occasionaly draws flak.
Yeah i've found that at my part-timer, everyone just switches off or looks a bit confused when i get started on fish.
Anyway good to know your around and all is going well with the job.
Interesting thing with babies is there is a few similarities between nappies and fish keeping ie; too much ammonia or a high/low ph can lead to nappy rash :shifty:
Again GF not impressed...
GB
:good:

just find some good evidence to back up what it does and then you'll be fine

lol, well i wouldn't know just yet, give me maybe 2 years

Turned 28 this year back in May. That's right a Taurus, a stubborn hard headed work horse that loves nature and the finer things in life. I've been fish keeping for just over 10 years now, although growing up my parents have always had fish. I am currently a father to 3 different puffer species, a large community tank and about to set up a Congo river biotype tank.
I would have to agree with rdd1952 that it is good to see younger people flocking to this hobby.

hay all just curious as to how old everyone is. i am 16. and have about 60 fish. and ive been keeping tropical about 5 years now.

also how long have you been keeping fish and how many do you have??

regards, community

I'm 36 now....Yes, you can laugh now...I am old.

Which time??? LOL

I started keeping fish when I was 6, goldfish. Had them for 4 years. Moved, got more goldies, kept them for 3 years, moved again...my Dad was in the Navy. Stopped for 10 years. Picked up a 10 gallon tank and a bunch of neons and zebra danios. Had them for 2 years, stopped again. I got a 5 gallon a year ago in February, with 2 phantom tetras. Got a 55 and 20, for saltwater, in January and then decided I didn't want to do saltwater, so using them for freshwater instead. :) All told, I've been doing this for about 15 years, but it's mostly just newbie type stuff. I've only recently gotten into the bigger fish and bigger tanks. :D
