Adding Tap Water Into A Cycling Tank

Hey all, pretty much as the title says. I am in the middle of cycling a 33 gallon tank and the water line is just lower than it should be, it is REALLY agitating me!!!! I only want to add 1 or 2 litres. So, my question is will adding this tap water affect or ruin my cycle??? Thanks, alex

No it wont, the concentration of Chlorine will be insignificant as it will be diluted.

You will be fine with that kind of amount. Anymore though try and add a bit of tap safe or similar.

just added aqua safe to the water and leaving it for a bit before i put it in the tank!!

The reaction is instantaneous so there's no need to wait for it to work.
