It only cost me £20 , i think thats because they were customers fish that didn't know how big they grow.
Dave - they can grow up to around 20inch in the wild i think, im hoping to get this to 15-16 inch min. Yeh i read the bit about 4 in 55galon i'm not sure how they would fit as the 55galon wouldnt be wide enough and it would need to be very well filterd as these eat alot of things like prawn's , mussels feeders etc., this site says the same too. I've got it in a 4x2x2 and it has a fair bit of room. They do look wierd upside down all the time but it's common guess it loke clown loach and likes to rest in funny positions. If you are getting 6x3x2 presuming its 3 foot wide i think you could possibly look into the Zebra shovelnose as i believe that grows around 2foot , although they cost a few hundred to buy.
