this forum thing, is not really phone friendly... at least for me...

If you only can use a phone or small tablet, buy a wireless bluetooth keyboard if you're going to do a lot of text input. Will save lots of aggravation from not having to type on a tiny phone screen or small tablet screen. This battery powered keyboard costs only $15 on amazon.

I'm used to a big PC screen. I have adapted to a smaller laptop screen but not too well, the smaller keyboard makes typing iffy. I now have both a tablet & phone but I don't use them here or for email. My fingernails often tend to hit wrong keys, although I try to keep them short. Phone typing isn't a skill I've developed yet...or many other phone issues. Just put me down as tech lame.

When my husband killed the bottom row of the keyboard on his last tablet I bought him a bluetooth keyboard which worked very well. I've suggested he can use it with his tablet rather than use a stylus but he's not tried it yet.

His first laptop had keys which were raised up quite a way and had to be pressed right down. That was replaced with his previous laptop with keys almost flush to the casing. But he still pressed the keys down hard because "no-one told him not to" and damaged the bottom row and space bar

I am basically a one device person. I got my first PC in 1987. I do not use a smart phone. I do have a flip phone and I pay by the minute. It is turned of about 05% of the time. I had ATT disable texting on it as I do not text and incoming spam texts are charged to my account. So the way to stop those was to have the phone not able to receive them.

My GPS is an old Garmin Nuvi. I will not owns a car which has a touch screen as they are dangerous. I do not do anything using voice control.

Twotankamin exists online and has since about 2000. I do not exist as a real person online. You cannot find a picture of me posted anywhere. I have almost no apps on my PC.

I do own a laptop which from day one got almost no use at all. However, with the help of my computer guy it has Windows 11 loaded. I had to do this because Turbo Tax will not work on Windows 10, I needed 11. So the laptop exisys soley to file my taxes and nothing else. it has not been turned on by me since 11 was installed. I am still using my Windows 10 box for everything but Turbo Tax. I have the extended support for 10 and almost daily I get security updates. I managed to get the first year free for these.

I do not want to use a smart phone. I have very dry skin and having my hands in water from my tanks makes it worse. So touch screens and I do not work well together. Next, I really dislike small screens. I need my reading glasses to be able to even see them. My PC screen is big and I do not need glasses to be online. I do need them to see anything on a small screen.

Finally, I consider all apps to be spyware and I am not willing to be spied on easily.
