6Ft Tank...

Can't wait too see this take shape. Love Bolivian rams brilliant entertaining fish. If it was me I would have a huge shoal of Cardinals with the 2 cichlids. And a great group of Cory's. Looking forward to seeing your final stocking plan and the tank tacking shape!

p.s. I have just bought a tetratec ex1200 as you and others seem to keep on about them to replace my fluval 305... what a difference!!!!! so cheers on that!

rummys and penguins both shoal amazingly they would be my choice or possibly scissortails and a small tetra species to contrast each other.

You say it like its a bad thing... haha, congratulations!

And liam, I quite like that idea of a larger shoaler and the smaller ones.

yep i am also going to follow this one :D can't w8 to see pics :D

Bolivian Rams are ace, but they are a little....humm....inactive, at least the 5 i have in my tank are. They squabble now and again and sit in their spots and dont do much....at all...

Wish i had room for a 6ft. :( (Mods, Can we have a green jelous smily, the sicky green one doesnt "do it")

Going to be watching this!

yeah i though maybe the scissor tails which are long and slender of which people overlook and they shoal very well and a shorter fish like harlequins or some tetra species.

Just saw this on their lists and thought of you :

Not had rummynoses, but apparently they are quite good shoalers?
Rummys are amazing shoalers! I miss mine so much!

Penguin tetra's are the best shoalers I have ever seen, but rummy noses are good too.

Also just thought about praecox? :look:

Maybe a smaller group of bleeding heart tetra's too? :dunno:
No! Stop it! One shoal! One shoal will look awesome, much better than several smaller ones. That was the mistake I made last time.

Tank is second hand, but it's only £110... :D
That is exactly the kind of deal I am trying to find and I'm having no luck whatsoever

20 Green Laser Corydoras
^^^ this was going to be my suggestion about the corydoras after I asked before if you had a sp in mind!

Bit of an update... I wimped out of the 6ft tank due to me having concerns about my flooring. Unsure if it would be able to cope as the place it would have to go suffered with damp a couple of years ago. The floor boards were a little suspect then and can really do without the hassle of it going through the floor. :(

Probably me just being a little daft, but better to be safe than sorry. So...

Probably back to a 'How would you stock a 4ft tank" thread.
