6Ft Tank...

Just a whole freaking tank full of vicious tiger barbs!!!!! :hyper: HEHEHEHUAHAHAHAHA :yahoo: Basically a mini shark tank then!

one day when i get a 500g tank my dream will come true...

lots of people get a large tank then jump to large fish, but IMO i would love to do what you plan on doing, a large tank, lots of plants and amazing life in it, if it was me i would go for cardinals as they are amazing IMO

great respect for what you're doing, i would love to do the same.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Though if you are going to go the planted route then I'm going to start a petition for some pics of the tank :good:

I really think that if I upgrade to a larger tank, I am converting my 75g to a mbuna tank, then i am going to a have a 55g shoaling species tank. I would love to have a shoal of 50-60 harlequin rasboras and a big shoal of cories.

Could do harlequin rasbora's, no trouble.

There will be plenty of pics aswell. Step by step.

Not glowlights. Not that there's anything wrong with glowlights, per se, just think neon or rosey tetras would be more striking. Got any particular cories in mind?

Cardinals :good: cories :good: bn's :good: congo's :good: clown loach :good: guppies :good: hoplos :good:
A 6' sounds great but I bet you it soon ends up stocked to the max. I know  :fun:

pick a tetra that actually shoal.....neons are naff at that! I've found rosys to be fairly quarlesome (when I kept 6), but they may be better in larger numbers.

Not had rummynoses, but apparently they are quite good shoalers?

didn't read this before I replied.....these are much much better at staying together as a group. 50+ would be quite a sight!

I think a massive school of Harlequins would be spectacular to see :p (I think they are the coolest little fish.)

Great idea minnt - love the idea of a setup like this!

But why limit to only 4 Bolivian Rams? In a larger group you would get to see their social behaviour at its best. I would then go for a huge shoal of rummynose tetra and another shoal of coral red pencilfish. Finally a small group of hoplos as they wouldn't trouble anything and are fun to watch, and you would see more of them than the plecos - but that's just my opinion and harlequins seem to be edging it at the moment!

Will enjoy watching this one come together!

Nick
