I have some ferts if you are happy making your own? If you're in the UK i'd only want cost of shipping. theres an article somewhere on here on how to make them and what dosage to use. saved me loads of money when i did planted .

Yes please ! I've got a few weeks worth , but as you can imagine, I get through quite a bit with a tank of this size. Please PM me your details & how much to send (is paypal OK ?) & I'll send ASAP. I've currently got an all in one dry mix, but was planning on going down the separates route & mixing my own.

I picked these up from a keeper in Doncaster who'd decided he wanted to change things around - unfortunately, he didn't know here they originally came from. The smaller one is a spotted variety, although I can't tell exactly which one. The larger one is more of a snakeskin. I was told the smaller (& I use the term relatively) one is female & the larger male - they do seem to be very fond of each other, but have shown no signs of breeding (nor for the previous owner). The male is the largest discus I've ever seen, however is an unusual shape with a high body / forehead ? I still haven't got my camera sorted, but better pics soon.

Really nice pics. thank you for sharing really jelous of the tank size, I'd love to have one and fill it with Duboisi but that's another story. You mentioned silver sand ? Is that from Unipac ?

Thanks - yes it's Unipac silver sand. I bought 3 25kg bags, but only used 2.

Here's a link to the pic of the big one - you can't tell how big he is from this pic - he's a beast. The Tetra's are scared of him, whereas they'll go quite close to the other discus !

Any idea of the type ?

Agreed - he isn't the best shape, but his missus is pretty !

yeah they will do the only problem is when you clean the bottom the male is over friendly

hmm not sure what it is. patern wise its very much like a red turq but the colour looks wrong for that .
