I've already done lots of pico planted (all around the <100ml mark), but there's a nice empty space on my desktop, and I've got my 3g Elite bowfront lying around....

Thus far, looks like this

I'll be replacing all the fake plants with real soon. It has a filter big enoguh for a tank twice the size (but the current has been killed so not to batter the fish around), lighting, and when it startes to get colder (near a window etc. so about 25 degrees at the moment), I'll put the heater in.

Thinking about some microrasboras for top/mid, bottom, not sure. Possibly some pygmy cories, but one shop has oil catfish in, so I'm looking into one of those instead. Or as a last resort, shrimp, but amanos are boring and common, and the cherrys are waaay too small. Any input, slating, etc?

I like the idea of pygmy cories..have about 20 of these myself and very entertaining. Pygmy puffers would also look really nice in there?

i have more options for you :

a betta
trio of killifish
a red claw crab
a dwarf puffer
shrimp
snails
adf's
bumblebee goby
micro rasboras
pygmy cories
oil catfish

i know you won't get these adding incase anyone else looks

white cheek gobies
peacock gobies

just options...

i think oil catfish look good but i'm getting killi fish for one of my little tanks.

:good:

a betta- Already got plenty in other tanks :p Plus, wouldn't fit in with the whole 'community' idea
trio of killifish- Possibly, one of the lfs's has some sort of aphyosemion in, but I'd guess pricy.
a red claw crab- Need more space, plus out of water area, and again, not community
a dwarf puffer- Ditto not community
shrimp- Mentioned already as last resort
snails- Boring, icky, common
adf's- Mebbe, but from what I can gather, don't eat flakes, and they're expensive
bumblebee goby- Do better with a bit of salt, unlike other fish that could be included
micro rasboras- Mentioned :p
pygmy cories- Ditto
oil catfish- Hey, stole my idea

But ty for the ideas :p

never heard of micro rasboras or oil catfish.

I think you should take out that hugggge piece of bogwood, it seems to be taking up alot of swimming and volume area.

Fill it with loads of plants instead!

No, it doesn't take up much room, it's quite flat and theres room behind it. The photo is misleading.
