30 Gal Hex

ok so i won a 30 gal hex tank on aquabid for a dollar and picked it up today...here's my idea, move the crescent goodeids into the 30 that way when the pregos give birth fry will be more likely to live...then once i move those out, I ask my source for more goodeids for my 55 or do i give up on moving the goodeids, knowing i have a crapload of plants and caves and driftwood that there's ample hiding places for fry once they're born and just use the 30 gallon as a grow out for platy/goodeid fry?? I know this is probably the most sensible idea...but was startin to think maybe the gooded fry would survive more if not around killis and platys that might eat them...although i've read goodeid fry are HUGE compared to other livebearers...anyway let me know ur vote

Sorry a little confused about what you are saying and I don't have expierence on goodieds but how in the world did you win a 30 hex tank for a dollar

the tank it was a pickup only item that happened to be near me a bout an hour or so away but anyway it had nothing with it for a dollar...but still good deal..

I would put them in the 30 gallon hex tank. It then leaves out the hastle later on when you are looking for the fry in the other tank, which can be a huge pain

Blitz thanks! I haven't played any games in sooo long and every time i see ur posts im like hmmmm can i cut something from budget go to best buy and get like ffx2?? but then i end up getting fish stuff first oh well...anyway yeah i just tried to catch the goodeids and they're so freakin fast....only fish i could catch were the killis who swam into the net or didn't mind me catching them...which of course sucks since i don't wanna move them...sigh...will keep trying...may end up emptying the tank of the two caves, mountain cave thingy, and all fake/real plants so i can catch them more easily by the way main reason i don't buy any games is im trying to save myself for Phantasy Star Universe, was supposed to be out by now, but appears to have been delayed...that was my fav game my grandma bought me when i was in 4th grade and my parents got divorced hahahaa (Phantasy Star 1 that is)

after much fighting i caught the goodeids and moved them in...one or two, not really sure are still hiding in the main tank...and second i thought i caught a male this morning i run to the hex like crazy dump it in look in the tank and it's a damn killi fish in my net!!! grrrrr...anyway i might be off with my counting but i swear there are more fish then when i bought them...
