2025 MLB

Well, the Yanks made it to the divisional series. The reason we were not the disivison leader was due to loseing more to Toronto than we won so out identical record was in their favor. I gave up betting on sports in the the late 1980s. I refuse to use andy of the now legal on line sports etc. betting sites. But if I had to bet on the series I would bet on Toronto even though I will be rooting for the Yankees.

I will only gamble in casinos with live dealers and strong casino supervision in the state where they are located. I know onlne gambling sites are easily able to cheat i.e. they certainly have the ability to do so. The link below is about a 2008 problem caught by real gamblers.

Who is supervising these sites? I know if I gamble in a NJ casino that the NJ Casino Control Commission activedly monitors them.

Philly faces the Dodgers with Ohtani pitching. We beat them earlier, our fingers are crossed we can do it again. At least we start at home.

I've never bet $$ on any sport, card or board game. I think it would suck out the fun & turn it into a job rather than just a game. Maybe that's part of the Philly mindset; always worried but also hopeful.

Don't bet $$ instead bet apples.

Sox lost to Yankees. The yankees’ rookie pitcher pitched a phenomenal game … the sox rookie pitcher started great but faded later. Oh well…”there’s always next year!”

As a red Sox fan, it was satisfying watching the Yankees get trounced by the Blue Jays 10 to 1. d:D

Our Philly/Dodger game just started, do or die for Philly. Swearing has begun! Tigers won today so they have a better chance to advance.

I saw detroit/seattle game. It was 5 hours long.... a 15 inning pitchers’ duel. The Mariners won but may be depleted for game 1 on sunday against Toronto.

Yes, no matter who won this game the pitching is depleted and the team, Seattle, is automatically at a disadvantage in the ALCS.

LOL! Seattle just does not seem impressed with Toronto and now leads the ALCS 2-0.

Don't really know why, as I don't care much about either team, but I find myself pulling for Seattle.

Sigh, just saw during the game today that Sandy Alamar died. :(

@jaylach. Uh oh

Ya, I saw it. If actually found guilty they could see over 20 years in prison. Even if found innocent, which I seriously doubt, they will carry the stigma for life. Also, if found guilty, but no prison time, they need to be banned from the game at any level for life; think Pete Rose.

Thinking of Rose I couldn't stand him ever since what he did to Cleveland's catcher, Ray Fosse, in the 1970 All-star game. It is a stupid exhibition game yet Rose hit him at the plate like an NFL linebacker hitting a running-back literally ending Fosse's effective career. Rose showed in that one play that he had no 'class'. If Clase and Ortez are found guilty it shows me that they also have no class.

In the wake of the recent NBA betting scandal, my guess is MLB swings the hammer hard on these two.
