2025 MLB

Yes, but they will be suspended until the trial concludes. How can you have them play with those accusations?
They were suspended in July, 2025 and the season is now well over. As far as allowing to play when the season was still in progress... I have to ask the question.. What happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? I know that sports rulings are different than the judicial system but I think that they should not have been suspended before even being found guilty. Are they guilty? Yes, they most likely are but I don't believe in punishment before guilt is proven.

How could they even be considered to play given the accusations? Like MLB is going let then continue to alter the outcomes of games?
I know MLB is always on their high horse concerning "the integrity of the game".
Who knows, maybe if they would have thrown strikes instead of balls on purpose, Clevelands season might not have come down to the last game of the season for a playoff spot?

And, if the 2 were not suspended without proof of reason, Cleveland may have walked away with the division.

I don't really think we are far apart in our thoughts but I still think that guilt should have to be proven before punishment is put out. It isn't even about just the two pitchers. as it also involves the rest of the team as they were also 'punished' by this. Why should the entire team be punished when no guilt has yet been proven?

Personally I think they are most likely guilty that but has yet to be proven. I strongly believe that no punishment should be issued before guilt is proven.

Just curious as to what your view would be if they are found innocent. While I don't believe that will happen, would your opinion on the situation change? Would the league owe Cleveland some sort of compensation? Makes me think of a case from when I lived in Florida. Three young girls accused a guy of rape and he was convicted. After 11 years in prison the girls admitted that he never touched any of them. It was all about his turning down one of them that wanted to 'hook up' and they wanted revenge. Of course the guy was released but lost 11 years of his life. Yet no charges were put on the girls and they walked away with zero repercussion. Would you call that right and justice? I only brought that up as, just in case the Cleveland pitchers are vindicated, which I seriously doubt, the MLB will stand in their 'Mount Olympus' and deny any cause of action as to doing anything wrong.
