Zodiac loaches nipping at Pleco

Seen my zodiac loaches nipping at bn Pleco last week or 2
I have three possible solutions to this and would like to know if and which one will work best

Option 1 - add more loaches to the existing 3 (ik there should be more but unfortunately 1 died from unknown reasons). This will hopefully reduce the aggression however they are hard to find in the hobby where I live (uk) and also hard to find online, plus shipping costs r on the pricey side

Option 2 - remove the loaches and rehome them if my lfs will take them on which I’m sure they would. preferably the last resort as I do like them tbh and rehoming the Pleco isn’t an option as it’s my brothers favourite

Option 3 - feed more as currently only feed every other day and hope that it was just that the loaches are hungry

Tank is 145litres, 80 ish cm long so should be fine and has been for the last few months, with plenty of hiding spots. Loaches typically stay around one large cave they have dug out and Pleco stays everywhere else.

Any help/advice is appreciated

Could you remove the plecos or loaches and set up a different tank for them? If you do that then you can keep all them bc I love my fish especially my plecos and loaches and being a fish keeper it would be hard for me to get rid of them

I would try feeding the fish twice a day to see if it was hunger-related. Try sinking shrimp wafers, etc. I have to feed my big pleco twice a day too. Plecos eat a lot as well.

Yeah, will most likely be setting up another tank soon in the next few months however catching them will be fun 😳. At the moment I think things have settled after I’ve been feeding daily thankfully. Haven’t noticed any aggression in the last week so hopefully it stays like this and I won’t have to move one or the other

Yeah, thanks for the reply. I haven’t noticed anymore aggression since posting after feeding daily thankfully so probably was just hunger related. If it starts again I’ll maybe look at feeding twice a day
