Your List Of Eventual Fish

Its hard for me, because I really do like all the fish in my LFS. I could live with all of them.

I would also love to do a nice marine reef set up with just about any of those typr fish. I can not remember the name of them but there is a symbiotic pair of a fish and a shrimp that I have seen on Discovery or NG that would be really cool to have. The shrimp digs the cave and the fish guards the shrimp, weird or what?

I don't have time to write down all of the fish I'll ever want to keep, I probably haven't even discovered some of them yet :p

Here's a few:
Any snakehead that stays under a foot
Chocolate cichlid
Orange pike cichlid
Desert gobies
Mogurnda mogurnda

I have a realistic list and a not-so-realistic list, so I'll just go with stuff that could happen. :D

Oscar - I have to go look at these everytime I am in a LFS and every time I tell myself all the negative things about them. But they are so responsive to people, I'd love to have one some day.

Tank of Corys - I think a long, low tank of just these might be kind of interesting.

Big tank of various Rainbow fish - I saw a 125g with stand and accessories in the paper for $350, but it was gone already when I called about it, that would have been the tank!

Rummy nose tetras, Congo tetras, Emperor tetras

Banded Ctenopoma

Siamese Tiger Fish

No way I could keep enough tanks to have all these at one time, but maybe in the future I can try different ones.

This is a far from complete list (always finding new fish and animals) and I probably will never keep some of these but I intend to try to keep as many as possible someday. The duplicate named fish with a 2 beside them are of course, a different species. I could add scientific names but it's a pain formatting that to work.

Evilly long list. :p

Holy crap Teelie, I bet you were an expert christmas list writer when you were a kid!

I think a full 220G Marine Reef would do me good, with lots of tangs..

Blue Lobster/Crayfish

I forgot about that one. I read that they need at least 20 gallons to keep them happy, so I didn't get one for my 10gal. It was a definate candidate before I got my ADFs, though.

I read on some post here -- I've forgotten which one, so apologies if its you -- that their blue lobster/crayfish stood on the top of their tallest rock and snapped at their neons "like Mr Miyagi", and I lol'ed. I've seen them in action, one even escaped once while I was at a pet store, and I got to see the employee chase it a bit before reintroducing it to the tank.

It was the whole, "they eat until they're full and relase the bloody, half alive carcass of their prey to wiggle pathetically away" bit that made me opt for the soothing little african dwarf frogs.

Somewhere down the road, when I have my own place, I fully intend on getting a bunch of 30g storage bins and opening my home to CAEs that everyone ends up returning once they realize what horrid community fish they are. :p

I'm still far from done on the marine fish too. :D I've been compiling this for a little over a year now.

Since a trip to the specialist lfs yesterday, I shall add glass catfish. Oh, and on my not-so-realistic list, elephantnose fish.

cichlids
a few bettas
a mega school of naughty tiger & green tiger barbs in their own massive tank
and the same with corys - id love a big tank with loads of whiskery corys mooching about
a marine tank - i love clown fish
or even better id love a tank 5 times the size of ours with lots more of what we already have. :D :D

I hope to eventually raise betta imbellis in a community tank because, IMHO, imbellis are the most beautiful of all the other wilds :good:
