I've done some research on the net and most sources are saying that my Yellow-Spotted Plec (currently he's about 8") will be fine with my lake Malawi cichlids.. but I wanted a second opionion.

Do you think he'll be ok with my cichlids as my current tank can't accomodate him :/

Cheers

That description could be any number of Plecs. Do you know the L number?

I had a sailfin in with Mbuna and he regularly got nipped, he gave as good as he got though as he was a lot bigger than the Mbuna. His fins were never exactly shredded but always had a few bite marks etc, never seemed to bother him but i did eventually move him to my 125 gal.

I don't want this :( He's one of my favourite fish and I don't want him hurt.. I'll give it a go, but he's coming straight out if he gets stressed!

Thanks Guys :good:

one word of advice to think on timmy, My nugget was fine with both the mbuna then with the tangs, it was the dam nasty mean ROCKFISH that got my nugget :-( when the africans began digging one day a rock shifted and well.... lets say nugget was caught between a rock..and a ...rock :-(

they love to hide so keep this in mind.
