Yellow-spotted Plec (roughly 8") With Malawi Cichlids?

I'm aclimatising him as we speak!

I'm really refluctant to put him in because I don't want him harmed! He is so stunning..

Put him in, one of my darker cichlids (sorry, I don't know ID's) took a massive chunk out of his fins So I put cichlid food in the tank and they all went for that giving the plec time to hide (but not without sucking off some algae from the back of the tank )... now he's stuck to the glass at one end of the tank and touch wood (*touches wood) their swimming up to him but not biting him... i'm still worried though and will keep a close eye on him.. he looks great in tank though!

I bet he loves the change from a 20 to a 150g. Give him a bit of cumcumber.

my L001 took a few bites but his fin always grew back amazingly quick.


and he put up a good fight too.

You can always get some cheap target fish for the cichlids to chase. Giant danios seem to work pretty good for that and there pretty hardy too. just an idea to keep them away from your plec.
