i been thinking about getting a few for a while now ,i was going to get a new tank and put some in there but money is tight at the moment and i really havent got the space unfortunatley,

anyway my mate has got his 4 ft tank now so ive given him my gupppies , platies and my tetras due to i whant to get the yellow labs. ( would yellow labs be ok with black phatom tetras and congo tetras ?

also would they be fine in my tank with my black sharks and clown loach and my cory ?

thanks

The yellow labs (labidochromis caeruleus) should be fine with your clowns loaches, but that's about it I'm afraid. Once they reach sexual maturity (around 3 inches) they will most likely kill your tetras, shark and cory. While the tetras and shark are considered semi-aggressive, that's only by community standards.

For more information on mbuna (rock-dwelling cichlids of Lake Malawi, which the labs are a part of) I highly suggest reading the following links.

IF THE THEY GRO WUP TOGETHER THEY ARNT AS BAD AS YOU READ

It's more likely you've been lucky, all individuals are different and you may occasionally get a docile one. You might also have a female, they are very difficult to sex without venting them, and females tend to be less aggressive. Now, if you had a group of 5 or in a community tank for 12 months or more without deaths, I'd be impressed.

Oh, btw, there's really no need to use all caps, as I believe you've been told before, it's the equivalent of shouting on most forums. :good:
