Wound on danio? SAVE HULK!!!

HELP ME SAVE HULK! He’s been my companion since the beginning of covid. I was out on a trip and came back to find my roommates had over fed and not cleaned my danio tank. It was incredibly dirty. They said they didn’t notice anything yesterday and when I saw him he looked like this. The tank is 5 gallons and he’s the sole fish. (He’s killed the other and lived 2 years now! And has come back from bloated bladder) however he doesn’t look very good. Never seen him this lethargic and the wound. He sinks to the bottom and struggles. Currently he’s lodging himself by the water heater. Should I move it?
I did a water change. Cleaned the best I could without stressing him too much but it’s still murky. I did the gravel vacuum and got new water. I added stress coat as well. Any more ideas or treatments? Medicines maybe?

First of all, can you post the water chemistry test results and photo's under normal lighting please (blue lights do not show any issues properly)

He’s still breathing and will swim a tiny bit. But he’s mostly sitting at the bottom

What do you mean not normal? Because of his condition now or in general?

This fish is badly deformed and will struggle with life. It is best to euthanize.

I believe the fish is too far gone. It would be the kindest thing to euthanise it.

Just as an FYI a Danio needs to be in a group of 8+ to prevent aggressive behaviours, you mentioned this one had killed his companion. They also need a much larger aquarium, at least 3ft long, and with a good flow on the filter as they enjoy outflow swimming and they are length swimmers and not usually good at confined spaces like a 5 gallon

Thank you. I did research when I first got him because he was gift when I was quarantined. He had 2 friends for a while but he was aggressive. I found out shortly after about the Florian company and they sell cheap tanks. I feel bad but I kept him still.

I’m very sad to let him go. What is the quickest way to euthanize without pain

The best way to euthanise would be clove oil.

Add a few drops of clove oil to a very small amount of water in a cup, stir the mixture til the oil is fully emulsified, then add the fish into the mixture. The fish will become unconscious very quickly, usually in seconds, and will pass away painlessly shortly thereafter

I suspect a Mycobacter problem (fish tb). There's no cure, and you should not put your hand in her water if you have open cuts or any immune deficiencies. There's no cure and no treatment. She looks like her days are numbered. I would use the clove oil method.
