Would This Be Ok?

Yeah i have seen that. It goes only diagonally though. I will try that, but then it would be harder too hide the filter.

The filter wouldnt have to be moved

Yes, bloo said 4 inches from the back, where as its more hidden if its against the back.

I thought you meant you were going to move it where it wouldnt be hidden like at the front or something. how would you hide it when it is in the corner? all my filters are away from the back. dunno why, I have noticed through the years alot of fish use the space as chill out space.

I dont understand what you mean. You think the 4 inches from the back will be useful?

I wouldn't suggest it otherwise ;) but try it out and see what works for you in your tank. The 4" or so will give it more space to break the force of the outflow. But if your fish appear happy (and don't just stay in one part of the tank or level because the current is too strong), then by all means do whatever works best for you.

The 3/4 inches from the back is useful to me as some fish hide away there and chill out from the bustling crowd. that is all that i was saying.

Ethos whats the fish in your Avator.
Its one of my yellow labs from my 55g.
It was the 3rd picture I took with my new camera after Christmas.. Its one of my favorites ;)

That as well :) My twig catfish often hung out there. Now he often hangs out next to the inlet pipe between the heater.
