Worms?

have these little white things in my 55gallon. They almost look like little worms. they are on the glass, floating around, and on the bog wood. they werent there yesterday. What are they and how do i kill them?

Arent there small clearish worms called Planarian (sp) that are a sign of a health tank?

I heard that the fish should eat them off soon enough.

I have absolutely no idea. I just remember hearing about them and thought I'd throw it in so mwm could research the possibility a bit further.
