for extra circulation in the tank i was wondering could i use this?

we have one lynig around but want to use it with the air hose in the water so there would be no air coming out, just water??

any ideas?

At first I thought it was a normal air pump, and thought 'no! you can't put it underwater!' Then I saw the diagram. Still not sure if it should have water running through it though, not what it was designed for?

I would never advise you make a product do something it wasn't designed for. E.g. using a powerhead as an airpump.

it pushes water and air through the impeller while submerged..
just diconecting the tubing for the air couldnt really be that bad, could it?

Test it out in a bucket of water and see what it does.

It wont really circulate water, all it will do is displace a small amount, there is just a light and the bubbles go around it.
