I know in the cichlid family, there are many cave breeders, but I have an accidental, and possibly interesting cave in my hillstream tank, if anyone desired to use it…
on my big resin pagodas in that tank, the tops were molded separate of the bases, and trapped too much air, and wanted to float, so I drilled a hole at the peak. to let the air out, as I put them in place, drilling one of the 2 tops, I it broke out a section at the very top, of course they are hollow… with redoing this tank lately, I turned this top. so I could view that opening, now that it’s all algae covered ( I turned it to the back of the tank originally, to hide it… this morning I saw an adult panda garra going in and out of through that broken area’s bigger hole… I doubt the garra would breed in an area like that, but curious of any other cool water fish that might take advantage of a cave like that???
that panda coming out of the hole, this morning…
