Wilder Can You Help Again.... Or Anyone Else Of Course

Ok.
Have a word with rabbut he was online earlier.
I would try and find a lfs which is willing to preform a skin scrape on a fish.
i have spoken with rabbut before and will try and contact him.
ill ring around tomorrow.
should i leave it for now or add the wormer plus thats mixed....? dont mind chucking it down the sink

If its mixed now add it to the tank.
We will get to the bottom of it.

Good luck.
Hi wilder, just been talking to Rabbut and he sems to believe it may be my water dechlorinator (API stresscoat plus) as it contains aloe vera which can apparently irritate sensitive fish like discus, corys, loaches etc. so my fish may not be ill afterall....... i hope so anyway! im going to change my water treatment and see how it goes for a while. ill let you know how they get on. fingers crossed they are fine and it has been all my doing by adding the stresscoat,
thanks for your time and patience again, ill report back with any further news :good:

That's good news then.
I hope it is the stess coat.
Keep us informed.
Good luck.

Glad rabbut spotted the problem.

Ok.
I use aqua safe and never had any problems.

Never noticed if aqua safe has aloe vera in it. Think it has vitamin b.

not seen any fish flicking since the last water change last monday so it makes me believe that rabbut is right :good: . i went to lfs at the weekend and asked if they had heard of this kind of problem and they just looked at me gone out..... but they have told me loads of crap when starting out so i dont really believe them anymore anyway!
the dechlors they stocked are -
aqua safe - wilder uses
prima - unsure
aquaone - cheap n chearfull
api stresscoat - which i believe is the cause of the problem

they may have had 1 other but cant remember!
im due a water change on monday so need to go get 1 asap, has anyone used these before with corys etc?

I've used aqua safe with corys and there fine.
I would blame the lfs as I didn't know that some fish are sensitive to aloe vera,
Glad rabbut found the problem.
