or you can get a 2 coat hangers and use a tshirt for a net, put it down, put some fish on top of the tshirt, and pull it up. seems like the cheapest and fastest way
I am totally with abstract on this subject. Raechal, if you DO decide to catch some (or manage to ) please test the PH of the water first and try your best to duplicate their habitat.I would watch them long enough to sex them and then get a male and female. Maybe, maaaybe you can get them to spawn successfully, then you'll have tank raised fry and you can bring the parents back home to their pond.
Personally, I have my share of wilds and I feel like they're disappointed, even though I bend over backwards to make them happy. Wild bettas are the worst because they're friendly but they look at you like "Are you going to take me home now, lady?" I could never pluck one from his home and take him home in a jar. Maybe when I was a kid (flashbacks of frogs in jars with a stick to duplicate his natural habitat),but not now.
So, how about those pictures? Did they ever get put online anywhere? I was looking for info on Leptolucania ommata, so I ran into this old interesting thread.
