no effence, but i dont get it...... i mentioned that id keep it but then you still ask me to post my location so someone can take it off my hands.....

please tell me how rare these fish are and how much there priced at??

my uncle said he WILL flush it down the toilet if i dont want it... but i dont want that to happen... i want to keep him and other fish in the same tank so i am going to get some larger fish and put them in with him and see how they go...

ok wendy.. now im scared of him!! i didnt realise he was so dangerous!!! he doesnt look that evil! i think ill throw my brother in the tank and watch my catfish munch on him

my uncle said he was a fair price for such a rare fish.... i think ill keep him... but im still gonna try the larger fish thing

yup...exactly the same fish i saw on my local fishmonger in asia.
2 for £1 and i was told they actually tastes good when flame-grilled.

why sell it for 50p (plus shipping) when you can sell it for £150 in the UK (the buyer picks up because he thinks it's rare)??

im so confused... is this fish a rare, fish eating monster or just a common asia fish that intends to ruin my whole tank plans?? my mum now wants to put it in our gradne pond which i think i do.. saves all the hassle wont it...

my sick brother just brough another load of fish to 'fed' MY CATFISH! (we live two doors away from a lfs!) i have know told my mum and locked my bro from my room.... sick twisted kid... how can he find that funny

He may be that species or a similar one and you won't be able be able to keep ANY other fish with it.
I know quite a few people with them - the largest is well over 2'. How big is your tank?

i think it's rare in the UK so you might get good money from it..

ok well the tank is massive... it was my brothers fiance's tank but they gave it to me when there moved out. He said it cosst him well over 270+ for the tank alone, not including the stand... im not good with measurements but its very, very long and narrow... takes up a whole length of my room!!

i have loads of bogwood, rocks etc in it (he loves the bogwood!) it seems such a waste of a large tank with just him in it.

my mum and uncle are gonna put him in the pond but i dont want them too... help... wat can i do to make them keep him in my tank... will he be ok in the pond?

How old is your brother? - It is possibly illegal for the shop to sell him fish.

He is a tropical fish & will die in the pond - why not trade him in at a fish shop?

oh my god... i dont want to be judgemental but you really arent looking at this the right way

Option A- Flush (noooooooooooooo)
Option B- Pond (noooooooooooooo)
Option C- Exchange At fish shop... profitable?
Option D- Post an ad on the ad section of this forum and lots of people(who who actually like fish) would love to take care of it
Option E- keep it.... on its own!!!!!

ok A&B- result in a dead fish.... no questions asked.
C&D- means you have lots of money to buy more fish, if you want money?
E- Prob dead fish as you obviously have too little knowledge to be keeping such a nice fish or if not then major expenditure to buy another tank to setup a community aquarium

The choice is yours!!!

Im soory...ru serious? I cannot believe this thread. A giant catfish that eats all your fish so you keep getting more then your idiot brother goes and buys more fish to feed to it on purpose? Ridiculous.
