Why Are Mods So Eager To Control Everything

Maybe its because this forum, "African Cichlids", isn't for you to talk about bargains made on a filter, since the filter is neither african nor a cichlid.

In fact, this post should belong in suggestions, not here either.

If you read the post, the original question was what type of filter would be best suited to an African cichlid tank. I think that has plenty of relevance in the African section given the special requirements of these fish.


Please don't comment on things without checking the facts 1st.

That would be in yet another thread. The thread started later had little to do with it.

And lets just say that it is. I fail to see the relevance to the thread starting from the 10th post or so. Not to mention that it went to 2 pages. Not to mention that all the filtration they really need is a large amount of it, and something that won't reduce a high pH.

I'm not going to get into a flaming was regarding this and the idea that anyone wants a war with the mods is childish to say the least.

I suggest that you take your own advice and post something regarding African cichlids and stop trying to inflame the situation!

I accept that your comments are at least constructive PT. You may have borne the brunt of my annoyance at some other recent posts from members who never frequent the African forum and who are clearly "jumping on the bandwagon", so i'll apologise for that.

edit: Agreed with Anna. There was a general section in this forum once, lets just say things went out of hand. Btw, i hope the mods leave this thread open so long as it is constructive and does not descend into a flaming or trolling thread.

Mammafish as much as we all love yo here in this section (as helpful as you are) and are trying to fight for what you think is right you may win the battle for posting this but wont win the war as they all have final say. I personally can see where the mods are coming from but also can see the relavence to some of these "closed topics".

I appologise PT but i take back what i said. What i really mean is i can see why people want these posted here as i am sure you know guys in seperate parts of the forum know the people in the particular section better therefore like to share pics and information with fellow cichlids/odballs/plecs keepers. But moraly i supose you are right they dont belong here but in pm's if they only want to be shared with cirtiun people.

I do understand how close you guys are in this forum though, but it still isn't justification for those posts.
