im not here to start an argument cause to be honest im not in the mood today to argue with different people i can see the view from both sides. But 1 the filter topic didnt need to be moved as it was cichlid related where as other topics that have been closed i can see why. 2. The hardware forum is not very good at all people hardly go there i have made 3 different topics in there and probably had about 2 replies so i can see why people use the other forums to ask as things dont always get answered in there.
I found 4 threads of which two wree just statements without questions in them.

One of the question threads did only get one response, the other had two or three people offer their views on it.

I think it says something about the Cichlid community if no one can be bothered to look outside of their favoured forum to see if there are any cichlid related questions in hardware or DIY they can help with...

Surely a filter topic could be classed as chit chat, or beginner related, so it could go there as well, however it is most related to hardware, therefore: to hardware it does go.

OK i think we're flogging a dead horse here, anyone object to me asking CFC to close this post?

I should have rephrased the title "Cichlid folks, why are mods so eager to control everything?"

since people i've never dealt with have taken it upon themselves to even enflame the situation (cough andyperson) and a few others I noticed that only seem to be speaking up to hear themselves talk.

It's evident that it's purely a "do as I say not as I do" community so this thread is useless now.

It needs to be closed.
