Right well long story short will very very soon be getting my hands on OH 93G tank I currently have a 42 G Corner Community and a 16G . Now one of the the tanks will have to be brakish as i'll be getting his Columbian shark. So basicaly i'm trying to figure out ...Do i make the 42g the brakish one ? The columbian is 8 year old and measuring in just under 9" don't think he'll be growing anymore .

Need help on which fish go in which tank. So i'll list all the fish i currently have between the 2 tanks and the fish i'll be receiveing and the Filteration on the tanks Can you's help me decide who goes in what tank

3 Red Wag Platy's (weird number but there dying of old age don't want to add anymore)

2 Albino Cory
2 Clown Loach(Currently 3" Had them for 1 year)
2 Koi Angels
3 Black Lace Angels
4 Silver Dollars (Ranging from 4" to 6/7" All 14 Years old )
1 Synodontis Decora (Currently 1" Long)
1 Columbian Shark ( Just Under 9")
2 Clown Plec's

So who go's where ? lol

the silver dollars and clown loaches will need to go in the 93g (the clowns will be ok the 42g for now)
the neon tetras need to be in a different tank to the angelfish
depending on the size of the black neons (or the angelfish), maybe the same thing as above

Hi Kizz, how mature is the 16G and will the 93G be cloned or need cycling?
Also how big are the neons and angels? are the neons in with the Angels and SDs atm?

IMO you obviously need to have the Angels and neons in separate tanks but with such a good number of neons i think 20 neons alone would fill the stocking space of the 16G

Provided the 16G is well established I think this is your best option

My Neon's Are Huge I'd Probibly say fully grown and have been in the same tank as my angels for around 4 months now with no deaths ...Yes i know that they are the Angels natural food supply in the wild ...But realistically can you honestly see a fully grown adult angel fitting a fully grown adult Neon in it's mouth and eating it ? Black Neons are larger than my Neons at the moment

See one of the larger tanks MUST be brakish due to the Columbian Shark would he be ok in the 42G? Upgrade will happen at some point on teh 42G But my main thing just now is setting up the 93G




Edit: Just seen your reply Davo With the 93G OH has one of the 305 running on his tank at the mo to bring it down with tank and fish . That filter has been running for around 3/4 years atm i will then transfer media from 305 and some from 2226 over to new 305 and run the 2 of them together or if i can get funds for FX5 will put it all media from existing 305 and some from 2226

The 16G Has been up and running for around a month now with media from OH's tank, My Own tank and one of my friends tanks lol Checked water Param's daily and have not seen any amm/Nit spikes at all so all going well there



Edit2 ! lol Neons and Angel's are in same tank have been for 4 or so months now Silver Dollars are still at my Other Halfs and will be coming down along with the Columbian Shark and the tank and filter

In that case you may have to watch the SDs with the neons, especially at feeding times when the neons can sometimes get to close to the food that the SD is going for and therefore gets eaten along with the food

Yeah will be watching all fish VERY closely when the move comes ... I do know that OH had rummy nose Tetra in his tank but they all died from old age

So got ###### excited OH is ordering new tank this week so hopefully within the next month i'll have my own livingroom aquarium WOHOOOO lol

Yep have to agree with davo86,,,,,all may go ok but wait til lights out, my sister put some full grown cardinals in with her goldfish as had a tank prob,soon as lights went out bam the golds ate four as soon as

Yep i did it ...Been sitting tryin to figure out how i was going to do a stand for it So got him to draw one up research wood how to build etc etc

Us woman can get you lot to do anything ! HAHAHA

Will defo be keeping an eye on them ...Will the columbian shark defo be ok in the 42G? It is a corner tank so more space in the width than there would be with a normal Rectangle tank ...With the age that all his fish are at i want it all to be perfect and everything to run with military precission ...Which prob won't go to plan but i can still try
