Who Gives Names To There Fish?

not sure where to post this, but just a general question......do any of you name your fish after famous people or people off the TV? me and the wife are starting to call the fish we got so far by names. sounds sad dont it

im not going to release the names we have called them, until i see other people do the same , so do you name your fish and what they called?

My Betta is Mr Miyagi, yes I know it's a Japanese name but I thought it was cute

My BN catfish is now called Brice, cus I think that is cute.

They are all lucky they didn't get name bill, bob and ben

I name my fish after my friends usualy but i just got 5 guppies and i named them according to there patterns and colours

Mine are named after their colours and patterns.

I have.
Midnight - A black delta female.
Fire - A red delta female.
Rainbow2 - An unknown species female.
Citrine - A male yellow mosaic.

Then there is my corys which just have random names.
Lela - Female hi-fin bronze cory.
Maneykee(pronounced man-ay-kee) - Male hi-fin bronze cory.

OOO I'm going to! I have a list of names ready for my Platties, a couple for my Dwarf Gourami (depending on if it's male or female) and I'm planning on calling the Pygmy Corys George (yes all of them). Unsure on the Harlequins. Trouble with the latter 2 fish is they all look the same don't they!

My platy is called tangerine for obvious reasons xD your welcome to use it lol. tangerine is a pregnant female but the other arnt named

my two gold fish are called sharkey and george,

my lil sis named my plec noo noo, (like in teletubbies)

i have a yellow balloon belly molly called flounder (after flounder in little mermaid lol)

my dalmation molly is pongo from 101 dalmations.

Haven't named all my fish, just the ones that have stand out ish characteristics or clourings... although i think most of them have had names over the time i had them but i cant remember them all!!

The unknown species female is called rainbow2 because she looks exactly like the one i had to euthanise.
A small acrostic poem that i didn't get to write when she died. It's not very good but it's the best i can do

Rainbow the guppy,
Always loyal.
I always loved you.

But still in my heart.
Over the moon that i found rainbow2,
Wow how she reminds me of you.

I miss you rainbow and i always will!

It's been moved. Some of my bettas were named for characters in Wagner's ring cycle.

I thought of a great name for a yellow fish - "Cello" (pronouced "chello" as in the drink Lemon Cello)

I may use it if I get a yellow fish but annoyingly it reminds me of someone I can't stand lol.
